Prospect and Purpose of Cloud Business Alliance
Background
Various concepts of clouds/cloud services appeared, and various services began to be developed. But, the advantage that cloud service brings is not understood easily for users. CBA think that the following problems are here.
- There is no de facto standard for connecting SaaS, PaaS and IaaS mutually.
- Neither a concrete method nor the method for construction to achieve an advantage of cloud (elasticity and cost optimization) exist.
Motivation
CBA contributes to the profit of the user and the service provider by establishing below.
- Interconnectivity between various cloud services
- Business model on interconnected cloud services
- De-facto standard on interconnected cloud services
Purpose
CBA sets the following as the activity purpose.
- Evaluation, development, and technological information publication of cloud API that connect various cloud services.
- Evaluation, development, and information publication of cloud service models (service model and billing method, etc.)
Goal
CBA believes the following two points to be a goal.
- Expansion of an open cloud service business in a Japanese ICT market
- Creation of the true value of the cloud computing in order to contribute to cloud users and cloud service providers
